OMG MY FRENS!!!I've FINALLY FINALLY got internet at home!!!
Yes, like finally after 2 weeks and 2 days.
After all the wait, the trails and temptations....
Haha..
Time really flies, 2 weeks have passed like in a blink of an eye.
School's starting next week. Like real soon.
The mom's have gone back on wed.
Miss my mommy. Haha. Yes i do...
Haiz.. the house don't feel as safe as homely as it used to...
Its ok i believe i can do it! Surviving on my own.
Adjusting to living here is quite interesting and frustrating i shld say?
Haha.. The people are nice thats great.
We're trying to be as eco frenly as possible that great too.
But lemme tell you some of the stuff here is so expensive,
its really a cultural shock.
They grow their own ginger here in aust,
and yet, 1 kg of ginger cost A$10! Thats S$13!!!
Can you imagine?
In s'pore where ginger is like S$1 plus or max 2 plus per kg?
The vege auntie might even give you a piece or two
if you've bought a lot of stuff from her.
And here they sell it for A$10!!!
Crazy shit i tell you!
Transportation here is very ex as well.
A trip cost A$2.30 and daily tickets for A$4.60.
Students get half price though.
BUT, thats also A$2.30 for a day's trip that's S$3.
And the more zones you travel the more expensive it is.
When we went to send the mom's off, taxi cost A$60 (but its a huge van thing).
So thats abt S$12 per person.
Than when we we're goin home, we took the train.
And guess what. It cost us A$14.70 (after concession).
Adults cost A$15.90.
Crazy prices. Yet! Its so inefficient.
We gotta wait 20 over min for the train.
But the good side is with that ticket we can take the bus & the train.
Say i have a single trip ticket.
I can transfer using any transportation within 2 hrs from the time i bought it.
But of course you have to be within the zones.
Aniways.. The 3 of us (pris, leen & I) are doin double majors.
Which mean that all of our subj have to be 3rd yr modules.
They are doin BMS & Micro, but i'm doin BMS & Anatomical Sciences.
Its gonna be super tough since i dont have much pre-requisites for the subject
However, I'll try to work hard and if the first week really dont work for me,
than i'll probably switch to the same majors are they are doin.
So gotta work hard!!!
